As part of a larger community, Brightwells wants to help make life better for local and national families, adults and children.
Our employees are invited to choose a lead charity as the main focus of our fundraising for a three-year period. In addition, we also support several chosen local good causes at the start of each year. With a large client base, we believe we can also helpfully and positively raise public awareness of these charities and causes, so we like to support those our customers, suppliers and staff can relate to.
Lead Charity: St Michaels Hospice, Herefordshire
St Michael’s has been at the forefront of the Hospice care movement since 1984. By sharing their knowledge and expertise with other healthcare professionals, they have played an important role in revolutionising palliative care.
With patients living longer than ever before, their professional staff and trained volunteers are committed to improving the quality of life for the patients and their families and carers.
Addington Fund
The Addington Fund is a registered farming charity and our main area of work is to provide homes for farming families living in England and Wales, who have to leave the industry, through no fault of their own, and by doing so will lose their home. The Addington Fund was set up in 2001 as the churches response to Foot and Mouth disease, when it distributed grants totaling 10.3 million to over 22,000 applicants. The name was changed to The Addington Fund in 2011.
Herefordshire MS Support Trust
Has been set up by the Herefordshire people to be an additional provider of financial assistance for those in the local community who face living with MS.
