YW934V PORSCHE 911 SC TARGA
Budget 911
ownership; essentially solid car that runs and drives; needs some cosmetic
tidying; MOT until November 2020
This metallic Bronze 911 SC Targa
comes from long-term ownership. The vendor had always promised himself a 911 and
purchased this one in 1986, the car having been imported (from Sweden it is
believed) and converted to RHD before he got it. A letter on file states
that the conversion was done to a professional standard using Porsche genuine
parts.
The V5C show eight previous owners, but some of these are the
vendor's family as the car got shuffled between them at various different
addresses. There is also a letter on file dating a speedometer change in July
1989 by which time the car had covered 93,111kms (58,200 miles). The replacement
now shows 44,000 miles making a total of 102,200 miles.
Used regularly
for a few years, it then covered very few miles each year until five years ago
or so it was put into storage.
It starts readily, runs and drives and carries
an MOT until 15th November this year. The brakes are a bit ‘sticky’ and the
driver’s window will need attention. The paintwork is also showing its age too,
with some peeling lacquer and an area of rust below the n/s headlight. The
Kidney boxes are present and look sound, as do the B-posts which can rot badly
on these models.
Complete with ‘Cookie-cutter’ wheels, this 911 SC Targa
is on offer at a level which offers access to the exclusive 911 ‘club’ at a very
sensible level. A few weekends work would transform this car.
