2001 Mini Cooper
SOLD
£7,952
Tidy late model MkVII Mini Cooper with the 1.3i
four-cylinder lump developing 62bhp that’s covered an indicated 75,186 miles.
Finished in blue with contrasting black half leatherette and cloth interior with
matching blue dash and cream dials it looks very smart, with the added bonus of
a full length Webasto sunroof.
Supplied new in March 2001, it has had just four previous
owners, the last since 2010. During this ten year period, the car was been
treated to a full engine rebuild in 2015 at 67,215 miles by E & A Hammond of
Flintshire which included 4 new pistons, a reground crank, new main and big end
bearings, new oil pump, a cylinder head service and new gaskets at a cost of
£1152.
The ream of documentation on file include invoices from
Somerford Mini for a new bonnet, new front panel, two new wings, RH and LH
A-panel hinges, new bumpers, headlights, dash rail and coach stripes costing
some £1050 in 2011, another £763 spent on a suspension pack, brake shoes, 2.5"
wide arch kit and 4 new tyres from Mini Spares in 2007.
Another invoice shows purchase of the lovely 4.5x10J
MiniLife alloy wheels in 2010 , another for Bilstein B4 gas dampers front and
rear in 2016 as well as new engine and subframe mounts in 2016.
Most recently, the car was given a major service costing
£495 in June 2016 at 73,308 miles and fitment of a new Delphi clutch master
cylinder in March of this year.
The history file includes the V5C, old V5, the file of
invoices mentioned, 10 old MOTs and an in depth guide to Minis with chassis
decoder. This smart little Cooper comes with a current MOT valid until
30th April 2021 with no advisories recorded and as such, represents
an exciting opportunity to bag a cracker of a late Cooper before BMW took over
and got all German and hyper-efficient on us all and Minis became a fashion
statement or a billboard for certain London estate agents to hoon around
in!
