1990 Land Rover Defender

The line above sums this Land Rover up nicely, but just in case, we can list the parts that were used in its rebuild.

It started as a run of the mill 1990 300Tdi which was stripped to the bare bones and built up on a brand new fully galvanised chassis and galvanised bulkhead.

The bodywork was fitted with two new rear rub skins, two new wing skins (the inners are galvanised) and two new door skins. A one-piece back door has been fitted and the whole car given a top-quality respray in Brooklands green high gloss 2k paint - with colour coded wheel arches.

The rolling chassis was fittedwith all new brake lines, prop shaft, trackrod ends, A frame ball joint, a full set of soft Polybushes, new front and rear brake calipers, new swivels and the axles were sodablasted and powder coated gunmetal high-gloss grey.

The engine was overhauled and fitted with a new turbo, radiators and a fully reconditioned R380 gearbox.

On the inside the bulkhead has been removed and a full County headlining fitted. The seats have been trimmed in 1/2 leather from Exmoor trim and an XS steering wheel fitted.

New carpets, later-type side windows and five new Sawtooth alloys, grill, headlamp surrounds and KBS wing vents all finished in gloss black - wow - the effect is stunning - this is a Land Rover that looks even better in the flesh than in the pictures!!

On offer at a fraction of the cost of restoring it yourself - it is only for sale due to too much stuff and not enough time to enjoy it - and the vendor thinks it is too good to use now he has finished it.  It is MOTd until April 2021 and has covered barely five miles since completion...
