Super example of the popular SIIa restored with new galvanised chassis through 2008/9; long term enthusiast ownership; 4-pot petrol unit and upgrade carb.  AMENDMENT - VEHICLE IS FITTED WITH OVERDRIVE

Dating from April 1968 this exceptionally tidy 88inch features the 2,286cc petrol four-cylinder engine and has seen limited use from its enthusiast owner over his 9 year tenure. During his ownership, he sought to keep the old girl up together after a major restoration in the previous ownership through 2008-2010. This has included a recent set of Michelin tyres at a cost of £655 in April 2018, a new exhaust and manifold in May 2019, new rubber mats in October ’17 and a replacement composite head gasket with heater control valve in Sept 2016. In addition, the clutch and slave cylinder were replaced along with fan belt the same year plus a dynamo repair and 12v coil fitted. Old Landy’s are notorious for having lights akin to a candle in a jam jar, not so here, the truck was upgraded to a H4 lamp conversion in November 2013, so you will be able to see more of where you are going at night! The restorative work undertaken through 2008 – 10 by our 7^th owner included fitting of a brand-new galvanised chassis from J.E Marsland in Feb 2009 at a cost of £805. Some of the vehicle’s panel work was replaced during the restoration including the N/S footwell section, N/S and O/S bulkhead panels, door pillars, door tops and bottoms, along with new springs all round, later style hubs, new shocks and a new timing chain and upgrade 34ICH Weber carb fitted all documented within the history file (original carb included in spares box inside the truck). The history file also includes the V5C, DVLA microfiche print-out ownership history, 9 old MOTs back to 2007 when the Landy had covered 97,824 miles (it currently shows 3,180, suggesting a total of 103,180 miles) and two files of parts invoices. The last MOT expired in 2019 (although its now MOT exempt) showing just one advisory for an exhaust leak which looks from the history to have been repaired with a new manifold and system. A very complete example in stonking order that’s seen light enthusiast use over the last 9 years. We love a Series truck here and this 2 A is a cracker.
