Description
2002 Harley Davidson Custom Chopper
Awesome
custom build with 1800cc power and insane paint work; believed to have been
built after O.C California team split
Not a huge amount is known
about the history of the bike, but the vendor believes with some conviction the
bike hails from one of the spin-off businesses 'AD Choppers' after the rather
public split up of Orange County Choppers on their hit show American Chopper as
seen on the Discovery Channel.
Whatever its background, it looks
absolutely stunning, the depth and quality of the paint finish if mind-blowing,
the lines of the bespoke frame and the detail is staggering. Powered by a
huge 1800cc V-twin in traditional Harley style it throbs a serious and very
distinct beat with that huge rear tyre and exposed belt drive ready to lay some
rubber down on the highway.
The history file is a little limited, it
contains the V5C, which shows the bike is registered as a 'Homemade Cyl Nasty'
first registered in January 2002 and imported/registered after its
build in March 2016 since when its had four owners. We found a spec of the
bike online from a previous sales advert, an old advert in the file and
info on Pintrest, and we understand it is based on a stretched Harley
frame and features a custom soft-tail frame with pneumatic air
suspension offering hardtail looks with soft-tail comfort with 42 degree rake
and 7inch backbone, strtech 230 AD Choppers tapered struts, 230AD Choppers swing
arm with 4inch rise handlebars, polished S&S sidewinder 1800cc engine and
S&S Super E Carb and K&N conical filter and two into one custom
3inch bore exhaust.
The gearbox is a 6-speed Baker overdrive
transmission with dry clutch and hi-tech drive belts, polished wheels 18inch
front and 21inch rear with 6 piston caliper and vented discs.
An invoice
on file shows the bike was treated to a new Lucas battery in June 2020, new Dyna
2000i-P re-programmable ignition module in June 2016 and then a £1,308 spend in
November 2016 on supply and fitment of a BDL clutch hub complete with front
pulley and drive belt by 2nd City Customs of Bromsgrove. In addition we have 2
old MOTs and rider instructions from AD Choppers, who refer to the bike as
"Draco". The bike does not have a current MOT, the last expired in September
2017, with the bike mainly seeing show only use.
Come and see it, its
incredible and deserves to both be seen and used. What a piece of kit, or even
art this is.
