1996 Rover Mini Equinox
Unmolested
with few owners from new and just 16,647 miles; funky spec;
1,275cc power with scope for light cosmetic improvement
Dating
from October 1996 this special edition Mini Equinox features the proven 1,275cc
lump and has had just two registered keepers from new, the first until May
2013 when the second owner acquired it.
It has covered just 16,685
miles and has been off the road, in storage since its last MOT in July
2014, at which point it has covered
14,547 miles. The car looks
like it could be a bit of fun with its funky purple paint and interior, but
evidently will require some light cosmetic refreshment. The observant among
you will recognize this car from our last auction. The purchaser has done a
little work on the sills since then and decided that he has too many Minis in
his possession so this one needs to go.
This is a low mileage Mini
with a useful hisotry file in which we see the current V5C, old style V5,
owners pack with manual and service book showing it was supplied new by Lex
Rover of Cheltenham with 1 service stamp for its 6,000 mile service, a selection
of old invoices for parts including a new shock absorber in May 2010 plus
others. In addition we have some 11 old MOTs dating from 2001 at which time it
had covered just 384 miles until 2012 when it had covered 13,271
miles.
An ideal bit of fun occupation through the winter and local
lockdown months perhaps?
