2004 Mercedes-Benz ML270 CDI (W163)

'As new' W163 series 4x4 ML with just 8,439 miles covered; half leather with the powerful 5-pot CDI diesel engine and privacy glass - find another?

Supplied new to its first owner in September 2004 this unusually clean and low mileage late model W163 series ML270 CDI shows just 8,439 miles - not our usual Modern Classic, but irresitsable none-the-less for its 'as new' feel and low ownership.

Finished in Obsidian black, with privacy glass, original 5-spoke convex alloy wheels, roof rails and half leatherette/cloth interior the car looks well.  Inside we find wood trim, 5-speed automatic/tiptronic, electric windows, mirrors and other typical ML acutrements.

Starting promptly, the 2.7-litre 5-pot turbo diesel engine felt sharp and responsive as you might image given its low miles and use and the interior shines like a new car.  Within the history file, we find the V5C, old V5, book pack and service book showing 4 stamps, the first 2 by Mercedes Benz of Sunderland in August 2006 at 5,391 miles and then October 2008 at 6,779 miles followed by a 3rd at 6,794 miles in June 2018 by Shore Cars of Sindlesham and the last, most recently in November 2020 at 8,271 miles by Mercedes Benz of Eastbourne who, we gather were staggered at the condition of the car.

One further stamp is present for final inspection before leaving the factory. In addition there are 2 keys, the radio card and supporting invoice and health check for its recent visit to MB of Eastbourne at a cost of £235. The current clean MOT is valid until November 2021 with one further old MOT on file from 2019.  A quick glance at the MOT history shows the car was off the road in storage (from where our vendor purchased it) between 2008 and 2018 with just 15 miles covered between MOTs in this time.

Quite the find, an unmolested 'as new' 16 year old W163 ML - we expect the bidding to be exciting given the enticing estimate, which is but a fraction of the cost when new. If you've been after a low mileage ML270 CDI to replace your leggy existing set of wheels, then this is your one opportunity!
