1950 New Hudson Autocycle

Extensively restored over a two-year period including reconditioned crankshaft; nice condition; useful literature

Part of the mighty BSA empire, New Hudson were a predominant manufacturer of lightweight two-wheelers in the late 1940s and ‘50s.
First registered in April 1950, this Autocycle is powered by a 98cc Villiers two-stroke engine and was in a private collection from 2004 until 2018. We are told that it was extensively restored when it joined the collection and it is still in splendid condition today.
Invoices show that the crankshaft was reconditioned and a new con-rod supplied in March 2006 and the front wheel was rebuilt in November 2005. Three old MOTs imply that it was on the road between 2006 and 2010.
The bike also comes with the original buff logbook which shows that it was first owned by a William Rush of Bishops Stortford, a V5C which states three previous owners, old style V5C, a photocopied parts list and workshop manual.
