1982 Triumph TR7 Coupe
Just 42,000 miles from
new; recent water pump; a smart example with a Webasto roof and an MOT until
April 2022
Until 1991, this 1982 TR7 was leading a normal life.
Supplied new by Parkside Motors in Coventry, a string of six old MOTs showed a
regular accumulation of mileage to 40,310 miles by February 1991.
During
the following year, the car was put into storage, where it was to remain until
our vendor acquired it from a deceased estate in January 2020. The V5c records
four previous keepers.
Remaining in highly original condition, the car
was given due care and attention during the recommissioning, including a new
water pump and a respray. It is now very presnetable and sound underneath with a
particuarly jazzy hounds-tooth interior and working Webasto sunroof.
It
has subsequently been MOTd, which expires in April 2022 and shows no advisories
and the plastic bookpack includes a handbook and service book which lists its
first and only stamped service in December 1982 at 1,961 miles.
TR7s have
suddenly become fashionable again after a time in the doldrums - especially in
coupe form. There seems to be a growing appreciation of BL products from this
era, which have been talked-down by the media for too long, especially when one
considers what everyone else was up to in the early '80s!
