1996 Rover 214
No Reserve
Two owners
and just 20,000 miles from new; as you would expect; lots of service
history
This cheeky bright red Rover 214 was originally supplied by
Sargeant and Collins in Bromley in 1996. It lived locally, getting
regular services which are listed in the service book. These show that by
1999 it had still only covered 3,105 miles, a figure which had risen to
just 4,694 miles by 2001.
The V5C shows its second owner acquired
the car in 2011, by which time C Cecil Motor Engineers took over service,
fitting a new water pump and a new cambelt at 11,811 miles in 2012, seeing
it again and again for regular service, noting the mileage each time. All this
is confirmed by invoices and the mileage on a comprehensive MOT history
printout which is on file.
Its most recent MOT shows no advisories and is
current until April 2022. There is little to add, as the car looks exactly as
one would expect of a low-mileage example which has been well serviced and so
little used. We did note that it could probably do with a new battery.
On
offer at No Reserve, Rovers of this era are rare to find in this condition
and with this mileage. They were very good cars and have a growing
following from those who like their classic motoring to provide a retro ride at
little cost.
