Description
2004 Skoda Octavia VRS
A proper Noughtie's
Q-car; late model 1st Gen 180bhp VRS model showing just 64,300 miles from its
4-owners; stonking order
A tidy, late
1st generation model dating from March 2004, finished in black
metallic with contrasting VRS embossed black and white leather interior wearing
its original spec 18inch alloys. It is in uncommonly unmolested and
original order, which is both rare to see and reassuring given the relative ease
in which these cars and their powertrains can be
modified.
Power comes from the proven VAG group AUQ-code 1.8-litre
inline-four 20-valve turbo engine which develops in here in Octavia VRS form
180bhp, driven through 5-speed manual transmission to the front wheels giving it
exciting performance for a mundane family hatch. Not so in VRS form, it became a
proper Noughties Q-car, particularly when finished in black, as here. It became
a firm favourite for the Police as a discreet, capable and fast under cover car
for the motorway traffic officers and other divisions who needed a discreet high
speed pursuit vehicle.
Showing just four owners on the V5C, the car
has covered an indicated 64,300 miles, uncommonly low for these and as
such, could be well worth tucking away for the future.
Within
the history file, we find a current MOT valid until November 2021 with no
advisories recorded showing the car has covered fewer than 7,000 miles in
the last 5 years, 12 old MOTs and a selection of invoices dating back to 2011
for routine maintenance. The most recent being for a major service in May 2019
at 61,400 miles at a cost of £341 by Roean Land Rover Specialists of
Telford.
Fast, practical, comfortable and discreet with typically
excellent German VAG group build quality - its got a lot going for it and seems
excellent value considering the mileage at the enticing estimate.
