1964 Triumph Herald Estate
Really super
example of a rare Herald variant in fully restored order from long term
ownership with 1200cc engine; ready to enjoy
Dating from January 1964 this super and now seemingly rare estate
version of the Herald has got us all steamy eyed and nostalgic with us all
muttering "I cant remember the last time I saw one of these, let alone one this
nice" – well well!
Evidently in a super, restored condition the car
speaks for itself. Finished in blue with matching blue leatherette interior and
wood veneer dashboard this example is powered by the 1,147cc inline four with
manual transmission.
Our vendor has loved the car for the last 21 years,
opting to have it restored over a few years to its current state. Bills on
file suggest a considerable spend on parts alone, with invoices on file
including £1,800 on parts from TD Fitchett Triumph parts specialists in February
2014 plus a £2300 spend at Mill Garage, Allensmore in June 2016 on bodywork plus
other smaller jobs more recently including works to the brakes in
2017.
The history file also includes a current MOT although exempt,
without any advisories which also reveals the car to have covered fewer
than 500 miles in the past 4 years which is primarily why we offer the car
for sale today.
In addition to the above, we also have 3 old MOTs, the
V5C, old style green logbook showing it was first registered in 1964 to a Mr W
Nalder of Wantage who kept the car for 4 years, old style blue V5, SORN
docs, original Herald owners handbook and illustrated car servicing series book
– essential for any DIY work!
We expect there to be a lot of interest in
this tidy 2-door estate so get those bids in early, its ready to be enjoyed and
envied by many at the array of classic events popping up this
summer.
