Description
2001 Range Rover County Auto
Well specified
P38; under 99,000 miles; service history and fresh 'no advisory' MOT until Jan
22; lots of upgrades; driven over 100 miles to the sale
This 4.0-litre County Range Rover has had just four former keepers
since it was delivered by Hartwells in Bristol in March
2001.
The Service Book shows seven services to
2013, by which time it had covered 84,933 miles. A further 14,000 miles have
been added since. The odometer still showing under 99,000
miles.
Driven some 100+miles to the sale, it
carries a no advisory MOT until January 2022 and comes with supporting invoices
for work done to the car, which includes a major service, including a new front
air spring in 2018 at a cost of £822.
It is
fitted with a towbar and a smart leather interior. A sometime owner has also
updated the car with an aftermarket grille, faux side vents and chrome covers to
the mirrors and door handles in an attempt to update the car to look like a more
current version. The front brake calipers and back plates are also colour-keyed
blue.
The vendor has advised us that the
tailgate release is temperamental – we couldn’t get it to open, but added that
it drove nicely on the way here and even has petrol in the
tank!
These 4.0-litre P38s make excellent tow
vehicles, being simple enough to make reliable workhorses and there's plenty of
specialist knowledge about to keep them mobile at reasonable
cost.
