Desirable colour combination, good spec and V6 engine showing sensible miles with good service history; plenty of summer left to enjoy

This face-lift SL320 dates from June 1999 and shows four former keepers according to the V5c on file. As a face-lift car the 3.2 litre engine was changed from the earlier straight-six to the 'new' V6 version developing a creamy 221bhp driving the rear wheels through 5-speed automatic transmission and has covered c.91,500 miles to date - a walk in the park for these well crafted machines.

Finished in Emerald black with tan interior, a most attractive combination and good spec including electric memory seats for driver and passenger, two-stage seat heating, electric folding mirrors, digital climate control with A/C, Mercedes Audi 30 CD system, optional rear seats, useful wind deflector, cruise control with sped limit, walnut trim and part-timbered steering wheel.

The comprehensive bookpack includes a stamped service book, the most recent of seven stamps dating from 2019 at 90,400 miles, advisory free MOT valid until March 2022, the history indicating little use over the last 5 years and a useful brace of keys.

There are a few blemishes which could do with sorting in the usual R129 places, the principal of which are shown in the photos and there are a few wear marks on the hood - again pictured, (a new hood is c.£1,000 fitted, available in various original colours from various specialists across the country) and the brake pedal felt a little soft under foot with some ABS tremor. Buyers also please note, the car does not appear to come with its hard top.

The vendor confirms he has very recently fitted two new front downpipes including catalytic converters along with four new tyres to the alloy wheels which look in nice unmolested condition.

With R129 prices on the rise and cars with sub 100k mileages particularly sought after, this smart black and tan example has plenty to offer.
