Dating from September 1998 this pre-facelift ‘Widebody’ Z3 comes to us in featuring the powerful M52 B28 series 2.8 litre straight-six engine developing 189bhp and 275Nm of torque driving the rear wheels here, via 4-speed automatic transmission with winter and sports modes.

Finished in Atlanta Blue with black Mohair hood, the car wears a purposeful rear spoiler and sits on 18inch staggered after market alloy wheels with black spokes and polished lips. Inside, we find beige leather with electric seat base, air conditioning, traction control, useful wind deflector, electric roof and after market stereo. Buyers please note, we could not get the electric roof to raise after lowering, thus it was put it manually.

The car shows 130,934 miles and does show some cosmetic signs of its age and mileage with some localised bubbling to the wheel arch edges/sill returns as pictured and faded paint to the rear spoiler also as pictured. There is also some wear evident to the driver’s seat bolster (pictured) and on starting and moving the car around for these images the ABS/traction control warning light was illuminated on the dash (pictured). That aside, the car moved around as it should sounding good and rorty.

The history file includes the V5C showing 4 former keepers to the current, current MOT valid until 9^th November 2021 (which shows the car to have covered only 41 miles in the last year) with 1 advisory, copy old V5C, 11 old MOTs dating back to 2001 at 15,429 miles, and selection of sundry bills for parts and routine maintenance including for the rear spoiler purchased in 2009 from the USA, replacement rear plastic screen in 2008 and purchase of the alloy wheels (fitted) for £679 in January 2009.
