1991 Mercedes-Benz 190E
Later model example
showing just 49,000 miles in lovely order throughout; 1.8 fuel injected petrol
engine with automatic transmission
Supplied new by
Hughes of Beaconsfield in March 1991 this later model face-lift W201 190E
features the fuel injected M102.910 4-cylinder petrol engine developing 107Bhp
and 150NM of torque, driving the rear wheels here, through 4-speed automatic
transmission.
Finished in Pearl Blue, this tidy 49,311 mile example is
believed to have remained in sole family ownership until our vendor, a local
retro classic Mercedes enthusiast acquired the car earlier this year to add to
his portfolio.
The car looks remarkably unmolested and tidy, with its
matt blue lower trim with rubber bumper inserts and still rides on it original
15inch steel wheels with plastic MB wheel trims. Inside, we find grey cloth
seats, electric sun roof, electric front windows, Zebrano wood trim around the
gear shift, manual rear windows, central front armrest, electric passenger
mirror, seat nets and period radio cassette (another period unit is in the
boot). Under the boot floor we find the spare, tool kit and emergency triangle
on the underside of the boot lid.
The history file includes the V5C
showing 6 former keepers, handbook, service booklet revealing 10 stamps, the
last in July 2008 at 33,276 miles, 11 old MOTs and a selection of invoices for
parts and maintenance including a new alternator in 2013, new coil spring and
service in 2015 and fitment of an OSF lower ball joint and service in August
2017 at 45,301 miles.
Ready to be enjoyed, the car looks in uncommonly
original and unmolested order with a simple unfussy spec and low mileage.
