1994 Peugeot 205 Mardi Gras D
Just two owners
from new, the current since Feb-2008 showing just 79,778 miles on the 1.8
diesel; super order throughout
Dating from November
1994 this later model Peugeot 205 comes to us in 5-door hatchback Mardi-Gras
spec with the trusty and ‘go-forever’ 1.8 naturally aspirated 58Bhp XUD7
four-cylinder diesel engine mated to 5-speed manual transmission driving the
front wheels.
Finished in grey with matching grey cloth trim, the car
rides on its original steel wheels with hubcaps and looks wonderfully unmolested
and intact, a rare survivor indeed. The 205 boasts just 79,778 miles from new,
covered by its two owners, the first, a Hereford lady until February 2008 and
the current a local man since.
The car presents very well, a proper
time-warp car back to a simpler time with unfussy styling and comfortable
interior with excellent visibility. Start her up, and the diesel engine runs as
it should offering ample performance for this simple, lightweight family car
with astounding economy and low running costs.
The history file includes
the V5C, owner’s pack including service book revealing it was supplied new by A
W Marriot Ltd in Hereford with 6 stamps plus 3 hand-written entries, the last at
79,778 miles in October 2021 prior to delivery here to us. In addition, we find
a clean HPI report, 1 old MOT and current MOT valid until November 2022 with no
advisories recorded. The MOT history shows very little recent use, with just
c4,000 miles covered since its annual test in 2017.
Ready to be enjoyed,
this little gem offers a taste of a once simpler, more analogue and economic
lifestyle that carries huge merit in today’s inflated high price, fast paced,
complicated digital world.
