1992 Peugeot 205 CTi 1.9 Auto

This open air version of the pocket rocket GTi
is ready to be enjoyed as it is or cosmetically further
improve
The Peugeot 205 was produced between 1983
and 1998. VW may have started the GTi idea in 1976, but the 205 is often thought
to be the star of the genre. It started with a 1.6 litre engine and then
received the 130bhp 1,905cc engine in 1986. instantly giving more rapid
acceleration and a higher top speed. The CTi is the open-top version is very
impressive, with superb handling, together with the steering, brakes and chassis
dynamics.
This example shows a mileage of 108,800 miles. Its
MOT runs to January 2022, with all advisories being addressed upon
recommisioning, including new bespoke fuel pipes made by a 205 specialist in
Kent.
The interior is sound, but would benefit from a few things to
sort and finish and the vendor reports it drives well on recent
Michelin tyres all round. It also benefits from air con, with the compessor
actually working!
It has only done some 500 miles since being serviced.
Cosmetically, it would further improve with a replacement plastic
rear window (detachable) and some attention to the paint on a couple
of panels and some trim. There is a small rust patch to base of
windscreen surround too but all in all, it represents a great opportunity
for the collector to take to the next level.
