1979 MGB Roadster
Very well presented Roadster
with lots of recent expenditure; arrive and drive....
This sharp and well-presented MGB Roadster was first registered in
March 1979 and was acquired by its previous owner in September 2020 as a project
to restore for family use.
An in-depth restoration followed, the
bulk of the work taking place from January to May 2021. This included
a full body repaint in flame red, Raptor underbody protection in red, a
chrome bumper conversion, new clutch, electronic Ignition, new hood, all new
suspension bushes, new discs and pads, electric fan, new carpets and new chrome.
The parts alone cost a whopping £7,872.20 without the cost of labour or repaint!
We are also advised that in 2014, the engine was converted to run on
unleaded petrol.
Its current MOT expires in May 2022, showing that very
few miles have been added since the restoration, hence its owner has
decided that it should live with someone who can give it the exercise it
deserves.
With all the hard work done, it
simply requires someone with the time to use it properly. In very smart order
throughout, it is ready for the longer days and warmer weather coming our
way.
Documents: V5C, MOT May 22, 7 old MOT's,
Invoices.
