Description
2004 Audi TT 3.2 (MkI)
Rorty and quick 3.2 V6
with DSG 'box that's set up and been lightly used for Sprints and Hill Climbs in
the 'standard road car class' offering performance and grip with its Quattro
drive-train showing only 72,445 miles
Dating from
March 2004 this (Type 8N) Audi TT MkI looks a little more purposeful
and aggressive than your average example and not just because it’s the
powerful 3.2-litre V6 version either.
This cool
coupe has been enjoyed by our owner of the last 4+ years through the local Hill
Climb and Sprint Championships in the ‘standard road car’ class proving very
reliable and capable with its Quattro (Haldex all-wheel drive) drive-train,
potent 3.2 litre DOHC 24 VR6 engine which develops 247Bhp and 6-speed DSG
transmission putting the power down in Sport mode.
Despite appearances, it is remarkably stock and remains an
eminently usable road car which can double for further hill
climb/sprint use or even track days.
The car wears a set of lighter 18inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with
sticky tyres (although the original 7-spoke 18inch OEM wheels are included with
good tyres), has various safety stickers and markers for ignition, traction
control, tow and battery locations fitted as well as a tow strap and conversion
to manual boot release (they are originally electronic) below the boot. I also
comes with a battery isolator within the stripped-out boot.
Bar that, the
car, is ‘normal’ and road legal (which it must be for this classification
of racing). The car has been looked
after ‘in-house’ by the vendor’s company, a Welsh 4x4 specialist with the car
being serviced regularly including changes to the Haldex fluid which are
documented on headed paper within the file.
Showing just 72,445 miles, the car presents well, starting promptly
with the gruff growl of the VR6 engine immediately apparent. The bodywork
shows only minor signs of age and use with a couple of scuffs (pictured) and
some small, localised lacquer peel to the front (pictured).
A
removable timing strut is included as pictured and the interior is business as
usual with BOSE sound system, digital climate control with A/C, heated leather
seats and electric windows/mirrors and on-board computer. The pixels are starting to fade on the
dash binnacle, but this is a well-known Audi issue with a range of repair kits
readily available online to solve should it become a
nuisance.
Ready to be enjoyed, the car comes
with its V5C showing just 5 former keepers, print-out of works completed during
our vendor’s tenure and current MOT valid until January 2023 recording
just one minor advisory for a missing registration plate
lamp.
Documents: V5C; service work note; MOT January 2023 with 1
advisory
