2002 Mercedes-Benz E240 Hearse

Freshly out of service and showing just 61,900 miles by 2 owners in attractive order with an advisory free MOT until January 2023

Dating from November 2002 this ‘52’ plated Mercedes W210 series Hearse was converted by well regarded Duffy Coachbodies Dundalk Limited of Co. Louth, Ireland.

Finished in traditional black, we find conventional seating for the driver and passenger at the front, with two occasional seats behind with ‘room for one inside’ in the beautifully finished timber rear load deck.  There is also a large storage area underneath the main coffin bearing section and roof rack too.

Up front, we find a 2.6-litre V6 petrol engine driving the rear wheels via 5-speed automatic transmission with tiptronic option.  The car is specified as an Elegance model and as such, the cockpit features grey leather and dash with walnut trim, electric windows, electric mirrors, cruise control, dual zone climate control with A/C, head lamp wash, Mercedes Audio 10 radio/cassette, multi-function steering wheel, on-board computer and electric folding mirrors.

In service with a funeral director in Hull right until it was brought down to the sale, the Mercedes hearse presents well, showing just 62,178 miles on the odometer.   The history file includes the V5C recording just one former keeper to the current, owner's pack and service book showing 11 stamps from April 2008 at 31,588 miles April 2021 at 61,215 miles suggesting this may be a continuation booklet. We also find one old MOT and current valid until January 2023 with no advisories recorded.

Bidders are advised that since it has been on site, the heater blower has decided to remain on and the gear solenoid is playing up so it requires manual intervention to move it from park.
