Description
1970 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller
In storage
for the last three years; runs well; recent bodywork repairs; titled
owner
First registered in Lincolnshire in June
1970, this Traveller has had five owners from new, the fourth owning it from
1993 – 2020 when the current (titled) keeper acquired it.
Although there is no real history with the car, an online MOT
history check shows that it has only covered around 4,000 miles since 2013, the
odometer currently showing 94,327 miles. The last MOT expired in March
2018.
We are told that it has had some repairs
to address some failure points when it was last submitted for an MOT in April
2018. These included: rear brakes overhauled and adjusted along with handbrake;
both rear suspension hangar mounts replaced; inner wheelarch patch repair; n/s
outer sill replaced; o/s outer sill repaired.
The Morris was then back in service and attended a few local shows
in 2019 before being parked up until shortly before the auction. Starting
promptly and running well as we have moved it around on site, it won’t be
winning any awards but it looks generally sound and presentable and can be
enjoyed as it is and smartened up over time if desired.
Documentation: V5C, some notes from the vendor regarding the recent
repairs and an original factory workshop manual.
