1952 Minerva Land Rover Series I

Belgian Military Series Land Rover; comprehensively restored; ready to go and show

Supplied as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kit from Solihull in 1952, this LHD Series 1 Land Rover was supplied to Minerva under licence to build into their Military version for supply to the Belgian Army.

Built with all-steel bodywork, they shared all the mechanical components of the normal Series 1 which makes them both easy and very cheap to own and run.

Imported into the UK in 2017, directly from Belgium, it has been UK registered XVV 244 and we understand has had extensive restoration since arrival.

It has been professionally painted, with underseal preparation underneath which has been sympathetically applied. It comes with a brand new tilt and we have enjoyed driving it around onsite.

It has had little use for some time, the vendor acquiring it 2020. He has not had the benefit he had hoped due to Covid and has decided that he has too many cars to enjoy now that restrictions have eased.

It would benefit from a good service having done so few miles recently, but looks exceptional value at the guide price compared to a fully restored UK supplied Series 1 which would be twice the price....
