1986 Bentley Mulsanne

Pretty example showing just 57,346 miles; pulled from 4-years storage; requires some light re-commissioning

Supplied new in January 1986 by H.R Owen of Greenford, Middlesex this grand old Bentley Mulsanne is finished in Deep Ocean Blue (FTA) with Parchment (A3672) hide piped blue with Dark Blue (A4133) dash top roll and carpets (including lambswool over mats in the boot). Under the bonnet, we find the venerable 6.75-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine driving the rear wheels via three-speed automatic transmission. Inside, we find the usual acres of leather and wood trim, with electric windows, electric seats and huge comfort.  The wood veneer would likely benefit from some TLC but the interior presents well given the car's age. Showing just 57,346 miles the car has been unused, in storage for the past four years and comes to us directly from slumber.  As a result, it appears the thermostat might be stuck with the car losing coolant and also noted the brakes are binding - no huge surprise given its lack of use. Bar that, the car represents an interesting opportunity for recommissioning given its low mileage, pretty appearance and smart leatherwork.  The history file includes the V5C recording seven former keepers to the current, couple of old V5C’s, the owner’s pack with manuals, buyers guide and 12 old MOTs dating back to May 1995 at 24,838 miles suggesting the mileage indicated to be correct although we did spot one mileage discrepancy where it looks to have been recorded incorrectly at its last MOT in 2018 at 55,500 miles. The Mulsanne has no current MOT having come straight from storage. The file also includes one old bill dated Sept 2016 for a battery.
