Description
Kawasaki 1100 ZZR Sprint/Hillclimb Car
Has
competed at Shelsley Walsh and Curborough; ready and useable with stunning
performance
This is not something you see being
offered in a public auction very often.
Powered
by a Kawasaki 1,100cc quadcarb four cylinder engine producing 180bhp, this waspy
little beast does shift along pretty speedily if you ask nicely with your right
foot.
Built by an engineer in Bewdley, it is of
semi monocoque construction which ploughs through the air with the help of the
carbon fibre front airflow spoiler.
The engine
is twinned with a six speed gearbox which directly chain drives the rear axle
incorporating a limited slip differential and calliper. The photographs show the
construction fairly clearly and although used and approved at Shelsey Walsh and
Curborough, it will no doubt need some light tinkering to make it suitable for
its next brave user.
The last time it was used
in anger was pre-Covid by the same chap who built it. Unfortunately, due to
lockdowns and recent ill health, time has come to move it on, so it has not been
used recently, although we have had it fired up here and it’s worth noting the
chap driving it in our video is 6ft 2in.
There
are a full set of spare wheels and slick tyres included and it is worth noting
the following lot is the trailer it arrived in so if you buy this, you should
probably buy that too!
