Description
Rare motor stored in a polytunnel for many years showing just 11,929
miles with less than 600 miles covered in the last 14 years and just three
owners; delivery plastic cover still present on rear seats and
sunroof
Dating from August 1989 this later model
T12 Generation of Nissan Bluebird was built in the UK, in Sunderland, with
only the Bluebird estate being built in Japan.
Finished in Green, the
car has spent many years in storage in a poly-tunnel with its husband and wife
owner after the wife decided she didn’t like driving. The car was pulled out for annual MOTs
and a few miles each way and still shows just 11,929 miles which we believe to
be genuine, with just 600 or so miles being covered in the last 14
years.
The car does show some signs of sun
bleaching on the rear NS quarter panel and roof corner from where we understand
it was stored in the poly tunnel but has generally cleaned up very well.
Under
the bonnet, we find the 1.6-litre CA16S four-cylinder OHC petrol engine which
produced, when new, 80bhp and 123NM of torque driving the front wheels via
five-speed manual transmission.
Inside, we find
grey cloth seating, original Blaupunkt radio/cassette player, electric front
windows, heated rear window and manually operated glass sunroof. You may note the protective plastic film
is still present to the sunroof and also in part (although brittle) on the rear
seats and in a few other locations inside too.
The car starts, runs and moves about and looks to have been well
preserved given its lack of use and is presented in an ‘as is’ state not having
been out the poly-tunnel since the last MOT expired in October 2019 with no
advisories recorded.
The history file includes
only the V5C, an old V5C and one old MOT.
Ideal to use and enjoy or preserve it as it is. There cant be many Bluebirds left, let
alone any with such low ownership and mileage.
