Pretty Brera Spider with 2.2 JTS engine, six-speed manual transmission
and just 86,116 miles - ideal for summer gettaways
Launched in 2006, the Alfa Romeo Spider (Type 939) was a
convertible version of the equally gorgeous Brera coupe. In 2.2 JTS form, as
here, it was powered by a fizzy 185bhp 2.2-litre 16v inline-4 petrol engine
mated to six-speed manual transmission which sent the power to the front wheels
and could accelerate to 60mph in 8.8 seconds with a top speed of 138mph and
claimed 30mpg economy.
Supplied new by
Mangoletsi of Knutsford, this Spider 2.2 JTS has covered 86,000 miles in the
hands of three former keepers (the current since 2017) and comes with a good
service history comprising 9 stamps in the book plus PDI, the last at 85,123
miles in May 2021 with mention of the timing chain being renewed at
83,047 miles.
Finished in traditional Rosso with black Mohair hood and
sitting on its original five spoke 17" alloy wheels the car looks well, and very
stylish. Inside, we find two tone Alfa embossed black and grey
leather seats with manual and electric adjustment, silver dash trim, automatic
lights, multi-function steering wheel, dual zone climate control with AC,
original Alfa radio, start/stop button and traction control.
The car presents well, with a nice hood featuring heated glass rear
window. We did note there is a warning on the dash for a window error, but
they appeared to work normally as we raised and lowered the roof for these
images. Supplied with two key fobs, its MOT has just expired on 13th
of April 2023 with no advisories recorded at 85,890 miles.
The Italians instinctively know how to design a great-looking
sportscar and this gorgeous Alfa Spider is at least as pretty as its
illustrious forebears and is sure to draw admirers wherever it goes.
