Description
Super-cool Blob-eye WRX Wagon with Pro-drive Performance Pack fitted;
discreet capable and fast family estate showing only 77,640
miles
Supplied new by Showells Garage,
Stourbridge in May 2004 this tidy looking Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon hails from
the 2nd facelift of the 2nd Generation Impreza lineage
known as the ‘Blob Eye’ and is finished in black, wearing its original 17” alloy
wheels.
Under the bonnet, we find the popular
and desirable 2.0 litre EJ20 flat-four Boxer engine with single Turbo which
originally produced c.230bhp, although this car has been upgraded with a
Prodrive Performance Pack and now develops c.260bhp although fitment of
Prodrive silicone hoses under the bonnet and Prodrive branded exhaust system are
also giveaways.
Inside, we find charcoal cloth
sports seats, electric windows, electric mirrors, factory immobiliser, front fog
lights, heated rear screen, external temp gauge, air con and original sound
system radio/cassette/CD player.
This WRX Wagon
shows just 77,640 miles, comparatively low for its age and looks to present well
inside and out, starting promptly and running well as we moved it around for
these shots and video with a lovely discreet burble from the Prodrive
exhaust.
The history file includes the V5C
revealing four former keepers to our vendor who has enjoyed it for the last 13
months, the owner’s manual and service book recording 15 stamps plus one
hand-written entry, the most recent at 66,751 miles in May 2021. The last stamped service was in April
2017 at 57,319 miles by Central Subaru of Wolverhampton. Its worth noting the first 10 services
were carried out by the supplying dealer. In addition, a timing belt and tensioner
service is also recorded within the book at 52,465 miles in September
2014.
The file also includes the WR Sport
Performance Impreza Certificate for installation of the Prodrive Performance
Pack for this specific chassis no. in 2004, at least 12 old MOTs, the current
MOT valid until December 2023 recording no advisories and a selection of bills
for parts and maintenance including a more recent lube service in December 2022
at 77,255 miles, fitment of another timing belt kit and service in October 2019
at 67,234 miles, supply and fit two new front brake callipers in May 2019,
fitment of a Track Star and Snooper installation and a host of other invoices
dating back to c.2010 at least.
Ready to be
enjoyed with a clean MOT and strong history, this desirable Impreza has much to
offer and looks most appealing at the guide.
