Classic
Riva-style sports boat built in 2006; 160hp Volvo Penta D3-160 engine and
duo-prop outdrive; mahogany and maple deck; marine GPS; 22ft long; 395 hours of
use and in good order throughout
Wave
Dancer was designed by a famous yacht designer (Alan Pape) and built between
2004 and 2006 by a professional boat builder (Clifford Adams). She was launched
in April 2006 and has had just one owner from build. The 160hp Volvo Penta
D3-160 5-cylinder diesel engine and duo-prop outdrive were supplied and
installed by Marine Engineering of Looe (Volvo Penta dealers) at a cost of over
£12,000. The boat will attain approximately 38 knots.
The 22ft hull is of multi skin, cold mould construction in African
Mahogany with Canadian Maple inlaid deck. She is equipped with marine GPS,
navigation lights, bilge pumps and 30-gallon fuel tank.
Used extensively for 10 years and serviced annually (invoices on
file), the boat has been laid up and dry stored since 2015. The engine is
currently showing 395 hours of use. Videos are available showing the engine
running when she was serviced and recommissioned in the summer of 2022 by Black
Dog Marine of West Looe at a cost of £938. No errors are shown on the engine
management system.
The boat is out of the water and on a yard trailer
(not suitable for road transport) but easily movable. She comes with all interior cushions and a custom-made cover. Her
condition is good but the front navigation light has been replaced and there is
a small amount of (repairable) damage to the inlay on the foredeck where the
varnish lifted.
Prior to launch in 2006 the
boat was inspected by a marine surveyor whose report is available in the history
file. He remarked that "the structure is built and finished to a high and
totally professional standard". He valued the boat at £45,000 "although a
somewhat higher figure could be supported". There is also a photographic record
of her build.
The vendor will be happy to
talk through her running and operation with interested parties. The marine
engineers who have maintained her can also be contacted if desired to discuss
the condition of the engine.
