Description
One lady owner from new and just 51,000 miles; Very early example on
offer from a deceased estate that has been sat for the last 18
months
Supplied new by Browns of Hereford on 22nd
December 2001 this very early R50 series BMW Mini One comes to us in light green
metallic and sits upon its original ‘Pepper’ Pot alloy wheels and looks neat,
almost small compared to the current 2023 version of the car – amazing to think
this ‘new’ Mini has been in production for some 22 years already with such a
myriad of models now available.
Under the
bonnet, we find the 1.6 litre Tritec four-cylinder petrol engine which develops
89bhp and 140NM of torque driving the front wheels here via ZF VT1F continuously
variable automatic transmission.
Inside, we
find a cloth interior, electric windows, typical big central speedo, AC,
radio/CD player and electric mirrors.
The car
shows just 51,000 miles with just one lady owner from new and comes to us having
been sat garaged and unused since late 2021. We note there is no battery fitted to
the car and that the car may have lost its gearbox memory (common with this
model when sat without a flat/no battery) and may need re-programming) as a
result although starts and runs (the engine) as normal.
The history file includes the V5C showing sold ownership, the
owner’s pack and service book recording eight service stamps, the first seven by
MINI Hereford and the last in November 2016 at 45,249 miles by local specialists
Dovermans of Hereford. The service
book also contains a further three stamps for brake fluid
changes.
The last MOT expired in December 2022
and recorded three minor advisories.
Once given the effort needed this early Mini (Chassis no.0017) this could
prove an interesting buy, and investment given its one owner and low mileage and
is on offer at No Reserve, so the highest bid takes it away.
