Description
Smart 5-owner County-style example; galvanised chassis; tall
diffs; Boost alloys; with rear seats ready for use; just 83,200 miles
Dating from August 1993 this attractive Defender
90 Short Wheel Base looks to have started life as an airport support unit
according to the Experian report and is fitted with the proven 200TDi engine
producing 107Bhp and a useful 264NM of torque driving all four wheels via
5-speed manual transmission with diff lock plus high and low ratio
boxes.
Rebuilt 10 years ago with a new galvanised chassis by Trafalgar
Motors of Yorkshire, it is finished in an attractive shade of blue
with silver head light surrounds and grill, black checker plates to the wing
tops and rear bumper, side bar steps and Boost alloy wheels shod with grippy
16inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres.
The Experian report online shows
the truck to have had just 4 previous owners, it previous
keeper owning it for 10 years, the truck living in Southern Spain
for much of this time.
The MOT history suggests this mileage to be
accurate, a quick online check shows the mileage rising steadily from 57,948
miles in 2005 to what we see now with a gap between 2015 and 2021 while the
truck was abroad in Spain and did not return, prior to that it returned annually
for an MOT and family time in the UK.
It has recently had a new brake
servo fitted, and the vendor advises us that it has tall diffs fitted which
lower the engine revs at crusing speeds. A new battery was also added in October
2022.
Presenting well both above and below (no surprise given it had
a new galvanised chassis and spent time in warm, dry Southern Spain) there
are but a few minor cosmetics commensurate with its age/use/vehicle type as
pictured but in general it looks to be a very presentable example with seating
for 3 up front, County style side windows and a bench seat either side in the
back and useful tow hitch and 11-pin electrics..
