Lot Ended
Description
AMENDMENT: Running and driving project; low indicated miles; a
straightforward project looking for an energetic new owner
Amendment: The
vendor has now found the old style V5 (still current) and an old MOT from 2001
showing 21,067 miles
It was a red letter day when you spotted one of
these when they were new, let alone these days - there are very few
left but don't they still look great?
With sharp styling and lots of
quirky Alfa features, this car has been resting for many years, having
been last taxed for road in 2007. That said, its owner has had it fired up
and we have been driving it around onsite - the car feeling remarkably good
after all these years of inactivity.
There is no paperwork with it, but
the number is still live on the DVLA database and the vendor has applied for a
replacement V5C, which will be supplied asap.
Obviously rust is the big
issue with these and this one has survived the ravages of time remarkably
well for a 44 year old Alfa. Yes, there is work to do, but it has many
redeaming features and shouldn't take too much to tidy the bodywork and give it
a respray.
The interior will need a good clean, but the headlining is
intact and the front seats a work of art, with height adjustable headrests and
multiple levers for adjustment.
There are some service items in
the footwell and it offers loads of potential - we love it and are all
sorely tempted at the modest price guide....
