Description
Appealing ZZw30, showing just 89,137 miles, MOT March
2024.
As the third generation of Mr2, the W30 was quite a big step
from its predecessors, most noticeably becoming a convertible. Powered by the
1ZZ-FED mounted in the middle, this 1.8-litre 16-valve twin-cam engine produces
138bhp directly to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual
transmission.
Weighing in at just 996kg, the W30 is no slouch and what it
lacks in power it certainly makes up for in driver pleasure. Arguably the best
handling of the MR2 trio, this car is certain to leave a smile on your
face.
Showing 89,137 miles its history shows 10 service stamps
originating from its first registration up until 2012. Although not stamped in
the service book, we also find invoices for an additional eight services,
its most recent in February of this year, as well as an invoice from November
2014 for a new mohair roof.
A further look through its history file we
find invoices from October of last year for two new front shock absorbers, new
auxiliary belts and two new front tyres, as well as new handbrake cables
that were fitted in January of this year.
The car itself presents very
nicely, having clearly been very well maintained - you’d be forgiven for
underestimating its 22-year age. Sitting on its original 5-spoke 15” wheels, its
certainly eye catching, and in a rare, unmolested state. Inside is exactly as
you would expect, wear is minimal and it’s a lovely place to be.
Offered
at no reserve, the highest bidder on the day will take this little gem
home.
