Description
Galvanised chassis; very smart example ready for work; driven 30 miles
to the sale; fresh canvas
First registered in
December 1981 this Series 3 Land Rover is a very solid workhorse.
A new galvanized
chassis was fitted in December of 2012, supplied by Richards Chassis and still
looks in top condition today. Along with the chassis we also have invoices for
new door tops, the all-important bulkhead having been restored too - presumably
at the time of the chassis swap.
The timing chain and rear main crank
seal were changed in 2020 along with a switch to electronic ignition, a new water pump and vast list of
serviceable items, plus an oil service.
More recently a full
brand-new Exmoor Trim canopy has been added, along with a brake service all
round in February of this year. The vehicle comes with a well documented
list of work and invoices.
Inside is well
maintained, under the rubber floor mats the floor itself looks sound as are the
vinyl seats. The exterior is very presentable for the age but does have the
inevitable mark of being one of the most useful vehicles available.
The wheels look to have been recently
refurbished and really set off the sand and blue theme of the car, in the back
we find two bench seats with cushions along with a dolloping of very practical
space.
Now MOT exempt of
course, its last MOT ran out as recently as May of 2022, but previous
tests looked promising with no advisories according to
GOV.UK.
