Lot Ended
Description
From a deceased estate; potential project for the Autumn months; lots
of spares included
First registered in January
1955, this is a relatively late RME showing off its sleek bodywork without
the dated running boards of the earlier RMA. It was approximately the
85th last chassis off the line.
Obviously in need of extensive re-commisioning, it was purchased by
the now deceased register keeper in 2011 for £3,400, so one can assume the
condition was in a similar state then. Before this, the previous owner had cared
for it since 1994, after seven other keepers, all recorded on the filed buff
logbook.
Significant work during the 1990s took
place, some of which is documented in the file and did include the engine being
reconditioned, costing in the region of £2,000 in 1995. Photographs of this are
also on file.
Now presented very much as a
project, several panel sections and spare parts are included, making it a
relatively low value opportunity to take part in 1950s motoring after the
application of a bit of elbow grease.
