Description
Lots of invoices;
nice example; looks great with a sound chassis and
bulkhead
First registered on the first of
March 1975, it’s hard to believe this Series III is approaching 50 years
old.
With stacks of invoices to show the work
done, the vendor has given his Land-Rover a thorough recommissioning over the
last few years. Starting in 2019 when the car was fitted with a new clutch kit,
new rear brake drums, new sills and a new brake master cylinder among other
things. In 2020 a new fuel tank was fitted with a new clutch master cylinder and
in 2021 it was treated to some new door tops and all new wheels and tyres
alongside a whole slew of other bits and bobs, onto last year when the engine
was treated to a full gasket set and the gearbox was reconditioned with multiple
parts supplied by John Craddock. D&G Car Repairs in Bishops Castle supplied
most of the labour, with multiple invoices showing care and maintenance over the
years.
Sitting on its new wheels this Series
III looks great! The body work looks reassuringly straight, no major dents can
be found with just the usual smattering of little dings you would expect (see
photos). Overall, it looks very presentable and usable.
The chassis looks in sound condition, along with the rear
cross-member and bulkhead. All vital aspects of the Series
Land-Rover.
The interior looks clean and tidy,
the three seats look to have been replaced in the recent past, along with the
cushions for the rear bench seats, A new rubber floor mat in the rear ties
everything in nicely.
Running and driving
nicely on site, this looks to be a sound example of a British
classic.
