Description
Original UK market car; race prepped for HSCC events; campaigned at
numerous venues including Goodwood and Silverstone; much spent with Lancia
specialists Omicron and Demon Tweeks
First
registered in May 1975, this pretty Lancia Fulvia is fitted with its original
1.3-litre engine helped along by recently fitted electronic ignition. A UK
supplied car, it has been transformed into a HSCC road legal track car,
with much expenditure revealing itself in a good two-inch thick pile of
invoices.
Purchased by our vendor in 2017, a
good stack of invoices show the previous owner had much work carried out by
Omicron Classico, including new Koni dampers and a full engine rebuild carried
out in 2012, among lots of other upgrades and maintenance. A dyno print
out from Nutt’s Performance Classic in Pontypool shows a healthy
109bhp and 83lbf-ft which is the sort of power you could expect to see from the
1600cc model.
The interior looks clean and
well-cared-for, boasting a Momo steering wheel, TS bucket seats, and TRS
three-point harnesses plus a full roll cage. The harnesses and seats would
need to be replaced before racing use as they are out of date.
The
exterior looks very straight and tidy for a track car, however we are assuming
the car has not seen much competition use in recent years. Some cracked
paint and minor rust can be seen on the arches (see photos) but overall, it
presents well in its original colour.
Fitted
with polycarbonate windows all round, the vendor has a full set of glass
windows and an original interior to go with the sale - (for collection
from the Cardiff area within two weeks of the sale) should the new owner
choose to change the focus of the car to suit more road use. Although it no
longer needs one, it has an MOT until January 2025 with just one advisory for a
slight oil leak.
Overall, an excellent platform
to either use as an exciting road car or to put back on the
track.
