Description
Cracking colour scheme; lots of
expenditure in the late 2000s; galvanised chassis; ready for work or
play
This
Series IIa comes from a small collection of cars from South Wales and boasts a
large history folder that shows lots of expenditure from
2008-2010.
We see
invoices for a galvanised chassis in January 2008, shocks and suspension bushes
in April 2008 along with new chassis and engine wiring harness. A new rear
canvas was supplied by Exmoor Trim in dark blue with nicely contrasting tan drop
down sides, the latest of the invoices are dated 2011 and consist of a brake
rebuild kit, new front and rear wheel bearings and a new front exhaust
section.
Presenting nicely inside and out, the bodywork looks good
and the dark blue paintwork is holding its own in our classic car barn, sitting
pretty on a set of cream painted wheels.
Tax and MOT exempt, we can see MOTs were
a common occurrence between 2008-2017, the tests show any failures or advisories
were taken care of although the car only travelled some 300 miles per
year.
Now showing 99,344 miles on the odometer, this Land Rover appears
to be in good working order, starting promptly, running and driving nicely on
our site, there’s little this Series II would benefit from more than some
regular use.
