Description
Nice history; major mechanical overhaul in 2007; first owner for 80
years; needs some cosmetic tidying; for recommissioning after a period in
storage
Sold new in Plymouth to the Marshall family in Bideford,
this Wydoor fabric saloon used the Weyman principal of a wooden frame with
canvas stretched over ply to form a strong, rattle-free light body.
The
family were to keep it until 2003, the car having been mothballed for 50 years
before being recommissioned for the road in 2007.
Bancroft Restorations
undertook the work, which reportedly included an engine overhaul, new clutch,
rewire, replacement radiator, refurbished wheels, shock absorbers and new
tyres.
The bodywork has had work done, although this would benefit from
cosmetic attention and it has been stored in a shed for the last few years so
requires recommissioning and is currently not running, but turns over nicely on
the handle.
On offer with some old MOTs, it's buff logbook and current
V5C, this budget Seven has lots to offer at a very realistic
estimate.
