Description
Showing just 68,300 miles; recent brake overhaul; from a small car
collection in South Wales
First registered in August 1989, this Mini
Thirty is one of the few limited Editions built to commemorate the Mini’s 30th
birthday in 1989, fitted with a 998cc engine powering the front wheels via
manual transmission.
Coming with a healthy sized history folder, we find
lots of expenditure dating from 2021 to 2023. This includes services, a new
thermostat, condenser and rotor arm from Drivers Choice in Devon. Drivers Choice
also supplied and fitted a new brake master cylinder in July 2021, a starter
motor in September 2021 alongside a slew of other remedial work over 2021-2022.
Most recently we can see our vendor had ta full brake system overhaul as well as
a steering rack refurbishment in July 2023, the work been undertaken by KMJ
Restorations in Exeter. Unfortunately, we do not have any older invoices
detailing the car's earlier life, however it is clear to see that this Mini has
been used and cherished.
Inside we find black cloth and vinyl seating
with red piping and red carpets. The bodywork finished in black looks straight
and the paintwork looks well for its age, some microblistering is just beginning
to appear in places, but on the whole it's looking smart.
It has an MOT
until July 2024 with just two advisories for a minor exhaust leak and
play in the n/s inner steering rack joint. A quick look back through the
MOT history shows steady mileage increase each year since 2009 where it was
reading 40,060 miles at MOT time, the odometer now showing 68,016
miles.
Please note - declared Category C in 2007
