Description
From a deceased estate;
imported from sunny California in 2013; only 76,830 miles indicated; super
colour scheme; recently recommissioned following 10 years in storage;
advisory-free MOT
Dating from 1994, this
XJS V12 6 litre Convertible had just one California owner
for is first 19 years before been shipped to the UK in October 2013.
Little is known about its time in America, the history
file picking up again in April 2015 when it was sold to a Mr Twyford.
During his ownership it was converted to right-hand drive in
April 2018, the job being jointly undertaken by
Specialist Automobile Services in Dudley and KEMS Autos Ltd. Along with the
conversion the car was given a birthday, receiving lots of new bits as well as
some servicing work, including new suspension bushes, new radius arms,
headlights, rear subframe mounts and much else
besides.
Looking very enticing in
Flamenco Red with cream leather seats and a smart tan hood, the bodywork
looks to be in good shape, as does the paintwork. The interior looks very
well and we suspect the seats may have been re-covered as they show
few signs of wear. The 16-inch five-spoke alloys look to have had a recent
refurb with gold highlights.
On offer from a deceased
estate, we are told the car was last on the road in 2014 but
was recommissioned in August last year when it flew through an MOT
with no advisories recorded. It has only covered 150 miles since, the
odometer currently showing 76,830 miles.
A timeless classic that has
been preserved very well thanks to its 19 years in the Golden
State.
