Lot Ended
Description
Owned by our vendor since 1988; Solihull registration; 12,000 miles
showing and believed to be genuine
Likely to have
come out of the factory in fire engine red as most ended up going to Carmichaels
to be transformed into fire tenders.
Instead,
this one is originally thought to have been based at Willington Power Station
near Derby, until being purchased by our vendor in 1988. Having a Solihull
registration suggests that this machine could have even been a demonstrator at
the factory before all this?
Cherry picker is by
Simon Engineering in Dudley with unusual combination of PTO operation or
alternatively can be powered off a separate 240 volt mains socket, which makes
it very useful indoors!
Maximum height should be
40ft with full 360 degree rotation and has the stability of four hydraulic
legs.
We are told the gearbox was replaced with a
genuine Land Rover unit in approx. 2020 as the original was getting a little
noisy and the truck cab was replaced many years ago to the current Series III
shell.
Low mileage rare and unusual machine – not
to mention jolly handy!
