1991 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton Turbo

Supplied new in August 1991, the car remained in their hands until 1995 since when it has had a further six owners until our vendor acquired it after finding it in storage earlier this year.

Little is known about the vehicle's history, the file contains only the current V5C and two old V5's along with all the data tags for the car, including the Vin plate, Lotus type and vehicle no. plate, badging and build no. plate (car no. 0214).

Evidently, the car will require restoration, the paintwork has seen better days certainly, but the anthracite leather interior looks sound and would clean up well. It looks to have had some after-market digital displays fitted in the centre console but it looks complete.

The Carlton does start and run, but it's apparent that it's not a happy runner with a knocking bottom-end and would no doubt benefit from a full overhaul and major service. Please check out the video link on the listing for this lot for added clarity. As such, this is not a car you can drive away for fear of damage. The car was last on the road with an MOT in 2006 at which time in had covered 59,614 miles. The car currently shows 134,000 miles - quite how, we do not know. It may have had a replacement speedo - who knows.

What is for certain is that it's a genuine Lotus Carlton and comes with a most attractive catalogue estimate.....Get bidding!
