1966 Vauxhall Victor FC Deluxe 101 Estate

Reserve
Direct from Vauxhall Motors Heritage Collection;
just two previous owners; joined the collection 21 years ago; for
recommissioning
According to the accompanying buff logbook, this
super-rare 101 Victor Deluxe Estate was first registered on 25th May 1966. Its
first owner lived in Ewell Surrey and they kept it until 1968, its new
owner, Peggy Cartledge passing it onto the Heritage Collection in
1999.
It doesn't appear to have been MOTd since then, the car having
remained on display, unused for many years - so it will require a thorough going
over before use once again.
The engine turns over, although the
thermostat housing has been removed for investigation and will need
replacement. The vast majority of the exterior paintwork and bodywork is
very presentable, although there are signs of rust in both sills - not
terminal but requiring attention down the line to both metalwork and paint in
those areas. The car has no brakes so these will need added to the list of
jobs.
The interior is in remarkable condition and this one comes with a
column change. The underbonnet area - inner wings etc are also in good
order.
With a little effort, this 101 Victor could be returned to show
condition. Everyone who has caught sight of it so far has gone straight to
it, showing the affection these big old estates have with people of a certain
age.
