Description
2006 Maserati Quattroporte (V) 4.2
Smart and
well optioned 4.2 Quattroporte imported in 2019 showing just 111,674Km with rear
entertainment
Dating from 2006, this MkV M139 series Quattroporte
was imported in 2019 and shows just 111,674Km (69,391 miles) and
is finished in silver, wearing its original 9-spoke 19inch alloy wheels
filling the arches on its sculpted and uncommonly pretty Pininfarina designed
four-door (hence 'Quattroporte') bodywork with quad exhausts and neat trio of
side wing vents and Trident badges.
Inside, we find the usual level of
sporting luxury associated with Maserati, the soft leather finished in light
grey, piped dark grey with Trident embossed head rests, with wood trim, timber
rimmed steering wheel, electric heated memory seats, rear entertainment
with 5.8inch Necvox TFT-LCD colour screens for both rear passengers and
boot mounted NESA DVD/Mp3 player with Aux input, on-board computer, parking
sensors, automatic lights, digital automatic climate control with A/C, glass
sunroof, in-car entertainment centre with navigation, electric folding rear head
restraints, electric rear blind, rear ventillation, privacy glass, automatic
Xenon lights and multi-function steering wheel.
Under the bonnet we find
Maserati's glorious and sonorous F136 series 4.2 litre V8 kicking out 395
bhp, which was jointly developed by Maserati and Ferrari and features dual cams,
4-valves per cylinder and variable valve timing and drives the rear wheels, here
via Maserati's 'Duoselect' 6-speed automated manual transmission with paddle
shift mounted behind the steering wheel and fully automatic mode
with Skyhook adjustable suspension and effective 4-piston brake calipers at each
corner. It offered a top speed of 171mph and zero to sixty in a super 5.2
seconds - quite the family super saloon then!
Presenting well, this '06
example shows limited signs of age and mileage with some scuff marks to the
wheels, crack to a wing mirror casing and small marks to the sill covers. Inside
the leather has worn its miles and years well, with the normal wear to black
plasticised surfaces and some scuffing to the rear centre section adjacent to he
rear controls and ventillation caused by the feet of rear passengers. When
started the car exhibits two errors, one for the parking sensors being faulty
and the other for the often irksome TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system)
needing recalibrating. Bar that, the car appears to run and drive as it
should, being driven up to us from South Wales by our vendor who is
only the second UK owner and bought it within a month of it being
imported.
The history file includes only the V5C, old V5C, owners manual
and current MOT valid until October 2020 with two advisories recorded.
The private plate shown is included in the sale and the
whole package looks great value given the high list price when new, the fabulous
styling, the luxury, that engine and the
epic performance!
