1971 Austin-Healey Sprite Mk IV

On offer from a deceased estate; owned since 2012; impressive order with quality BRG respray; hard top included

It is always good to find a car that appears to have been looked after and loved by all of its owners and this Sprite comes under that category. A fine example of the classic British sports car.

We are told that during the 1990s, it was fully restored over the course of five years and although there are no bills for this on file, we have no reason to doubt it. When sold in 2012, the mileage was quoted as being 26,635 and previous MOTs gradually take it back to 15,895 in 1992. Now showing only 27,926, it has obviously not covered much distance in its current ownership.  
When the current family acquired the car in 2012, it was treated to plenty of work by Thipthorpe & Clarke Ltd in Essex, which included a respray, two new doors, various dents and rusted areas repaired, along with necessary repairs to the roof. New electronic ignition was fitted along with the shiny new exhaust that you can see today. It comes with weather gear, including a hard top and the handy tonneau cover.  
Looking very smart today, it has been kept indoors most of the time,  little used but appears to have been well maintained and largely original. This would be an ideal opportunity to get your hands on what is truly an iconic little classic…
