Description
1997 BMW Z3 Roadster
From a deceased estate;
only 64k miles with excellent service history; 1.9 automatic narrow body
example
Supplied new Cripps of Kibworth in
November 1997 this earlier pre-facelift narrow body Z3 Roadster is finished in
desirable Hellrot red with black mohair hood and sits on chunky 17-inch 5-spoke
alloy wheels which gives it a muscular presence.
Under
the bonnet, we find the proven M44B19 138bhp 1.9 litre four-cylinder engine
driving the rear wheels via 4-speed automatic transmission. Inside, we see tan leather interior with
electric seat bases, electric windows, mirrors, manual hood operation, traction
control and CD player.
Showing just 64,051
miles the car would be considered low mileage for its age, this having been
covered by the 5 previous owners and current since 2013 who recently died, hence
the car is being offered on behalf of the deceased estate.
The car looks well with a tidy interior, roof and clear rear window
although there are signs the car has been repainted (see images) along with some
signs of repair to the sill sections (see images) and limited signs of minor
corrosion coming through typical of the model and age.
The history file includes the V5C, owner’s pack and service book
revealing an impressive 16 stamps inc. PDI, the last at 62,758 miles in June
2020 by Amman Valley service centre along with 19 old MOTs, selection of old
invoices and current MOT valid until July 2022 with 2 advisories noted for
corrosion (but not affecting structural rigidity) and brake pipe corroded or
covered in grease or other material.
