1987 Jaguar Sovereign V12
Ideal use and
improve example that's seen little recent use showing just 60,881 miles; 5.3 V12
power with 3-speed auto box and charming interior
Dating from March 1987, this late model Series 3 Jaguar Sovereign
XJ12 features the proven 285bhp 5.3 litre V12 engine, mated here to GM’s 3-speed
automatic box driving the rear wheels.
Finished in light green/grey with
beige hide interior the car sits and presents well for a Jaguar of this era,
some paint blemishes are evident, as pictured but generally she looks a solid
example as evidenced by the advisory free recent MOT valid until July
2022.
In the current ownership since January 2011 the car has seen little
use, the MOT history showing the car off the road between 2010 and 2018 with
only c.3,000 miles covered between tests. The car currently shows just 60,881
miles which although lacking a service history does look to be coherent, back to
2006 at 51,808 miles when online MOT history records began.
Starting
promptly and running well when we moved it around for these images, the car
retains its original pepper-pot alloy wheels, the engine quietly ticking over,
the interior a lovely place to sit with oodles of period luxury trim with cruise
control, electric windows, mirrors and trip computer present along with Sony CD
player.
The history file includes only the owner’s pack, V5C showing 9
previous owners and current MOT. Looking enticing value at the £3,500 lower
estimate, this is surely one to jump in and use as is and use and improve over
time as values rise?
