1971 Morris 1000 Traveller

Reserve
Late Traveller needing TLC; good potential;
recent gearbox from Charles Ware along with bills for restorative works in 2020;
a pair of new front wings included
This rather dishevelled Traveller
was last MOTd in 2019 and has had plenty spent on it to keep it on the road.
Purchased by the previous owner from Charles Ware in Bristol for £6,350 back in
2007, it has had regular attention to keep it mobile, although we suggest it has
lived outside since which hasn't done the woodwork any favours.
In 2015,
Ware's undertook various chassis and mechanical repairs for £2,196 and a
replacement gearbox was fitted in 2018. In 2019, £1,298 was spent on more
welding and mechanical work and they saw it again for supension weld repairs in
2020, putting the car on a roll-over frame for access. The bill for this work
was £598.
There are a pair of new fibreglass front wings included, which
will be required.
It still needs love and attention, but is a long way
from beyond hope and needs someone prepared to spend time sorting it
out. With top-quality models selling in the early £20,000s and easy and cheap
parts availability, it could be time-well-spent in the workshop over the next
few months.
Bidders are advised that the car shows on Experian as having
been stolen/recovered back in 1993.
